II. Drum Pump (Liquid Transfer Pump) Usage and Maintenance

1、For a brand new or long-term unused Electric Liquid Transfer Pump, after unpacking, use a 550V megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance between all live parts and any accessible metal parts. The insulation resistance should be no less than 7 MΩ when approaching operating temperature.
2、Before use, check whether all terminals are secure. The grounding wire must be reliably and firmly connected.
3、Check whether the power supply voltage matches the rated voltage. Do not use the pump with a power supply that exceeds or falls below 10% of the rated voltage.
4、When using this pump, do not damage the wires, and avoid water or oil entering the motor, switch, or electrical components.
5、Do not operate in environments containing flammable or corrosive gases to ensure safe production and the normal functioning of all electrical components.
6、If abnormal noises are detected during operation, stop the pump immediately, identify the cause, and resume use only after resolving the issue.
7、This Drum Pump should not be run dry. Stop the pump immediately after liquid transfer is completed, as the no-load speed of the motor can reach approximately 2900 r/min and 1000 r/min respectively. Otherwise, it may wear out the universal joint impeller and, in severe cases, damage the pump tube.
8、Replace brushes: When the brushes are worn out and can no longer be used, replace them immediately. Otherwise, the commutator may be damaged, and in severe cases, the motor may burn out.
9、The Electric Liquid Transfer Pump (Drum Pump) should be inspected regularly, at least once every three months. For frequently used pumps, perform maintenance monthly. During maintenance, disassemble the pump completely, remove internal dust and oil stains. If there is excessive dust on the commutator, clean it with alcohol. Replace any damaged parts with identical ones.
10、When not in use, store the pump in a dry, clean, and non-corrosive environment.
